Dr. Tobias Kaufmann
Medical Director
Dr. Kaufmann was born in Freiburg, Germany, and graduated from Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, earning his medical degree in 1995. He also holds a PhD in the History of Medicine. He completed extensive postgraduate training in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and General Practice in the United Kingdom, following early clinical experience in Germany and England across General Surgery, Anaesthesiology, and General Practice.

Maria Veiga
Clinical Director & Founder of TMA
Maria leads the aesthetic department as Clinical Director within Dr. Kaufmann’s Medical Clinic and is the founder of Thorold Medical Aesthetics. She established the aesthetics division to bring elevated, medical-led skincare to the community.
Her approach is centred on safety, education, and personalised treatment plans—ensuring every client feels informed, cared for, and confident in their results.

All tests and referrals ordered by Dr. Kaufmann require a follow-up appointment, either by phone or in person, depending on the nature of the results.
Please do not wait to be contacted.
If you have not heard from us, it is your responsibility to reach out to the clinic regarding your results. No news does not mean good news — contacting the clinic is mandatory to ensure no results are overlooked.
Follow-up appointments are typically arranged at the same time you receive your requisition. After every consultation, all patients are asked to check in with the front desk to schedule their next follow-up. This process helps protect both you and the clinic from errors or oversights.
Additionally, Dr. Kaufmann requests a phone appointment following every specialist or hospital visit, regardless of the reason. This also applies to any tests ordered by another physician. Please book a telephone appointment approximately 3 weeks after your visit or test to review any concerns, results, or outstanding tasks.
